Jamie Richards is an Italian > English translator from Southern California currently based in Milan, Italy. She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Oregon and an MFA in Literary Translation from the University of Iowa. She has worked in independent publishing and has taught several university courses in comparative literature, translation, and Italian language and culture.
She specializes in literary and artistic translation (see "work" for details) and also does literary and academic copyediting, editorial consulting, and reader's reports on Italian books.

Her other translation specializations include: art and museum texts, academic articles and presentations, film subtitles, journalism, marketing, press materials, and correspondence.
